Both at-home whitening kits and expensive in-office whitening can deliver similar results. The effectiveness of teeth whitening with glycerin mainly depends on two factors: the concentration of glycerin and the time the active ingredient remains in contact with the teeth. DiamondSmile uses the maximum amount of glycerin permitted in Germany in the Teeth Whitening Set to whiten teeth. 

Dentists often use the active ingredient hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. Both can severely attack the enamel and gums and cause pain.

The whitening effect of the kit usually lasts 1 to 2 years. After the application, you should continue to care for your teeth. It’s also advisable to limit staining foods such as coffee and tea. Smoking should also be avoided to ensure long-lasting results. If the effect fades, you can always get a new whitening gel for your kit from us.

To whiten teeth, the active ingredient glycerin reaches the enamel through power LED activation technology. The oxygen molecules of the whitening agent touch the discolored molecules in the tooth, causing them to dissolve and revealing the tooth’s natural white color.

Enhance and prolong the whitening effect with our activated charcoal. When used before whitening, teeth become even brighter because activated charcoal can remove heavier discoloration. In addition, the whitening effect is prolonged with weekly use of activated charcoal.

The concentration of the active ingredient glycerin has been chosen so you can expect a maximum whitening effect without endangering your tooth enamel. For optimal use, we recommend following the instructions in the whitening kit. It is also advisable to visit your dentist for a professional dental cleaning and to advise you whether your teeth are suitable for an at-home whitening kit.

To use the whitening kit in the best possible way, please follow these instructions:

1. Brush your teeth thoroughly with toothpaste. 

2. Remove the thin plastic tab located between the batteries. 

3. Attach the mouthpiece to the LED light. 

4. Spread 1/4 of the gel on the upper part and 1/4 on the lower part of the mouthpiece. 

5. Put it in your mouth and turn on the light. 

6. Wait 10 to 20 minutes before turning the light off. 

7. Rinse your mouth with warm water. 

8. Smile! 

The LED power-on light uses button batteries (CR2450), which are included. For safety reasons, we had to place a thin plastic tab between the battery and the button to break the contact.

Peroxides are very acidic and will attack the teeth, enamel, and gums. This generally makes your teeth become hypersensitive and can cause irritation. For this reason, we do not use peroxides in our products.
